Wait littel more then 10 seconds and after Servile light blinks ..leave button. and it works.
Question is how long will take to Service light on again 6.000 miles??

I have tried this many times before without luck because the info I got (elsewhere) didn’t emphasize the SRL should be blinking. Just tried it on my 1999 S70 and it worked like a charm! The blinking light is the “secret.” Great! The method I used:

1. Press and hold odometer reset button
2. Turn ignition switch to Run
3. After SRL flashes, release odometer reset button
4. Confirm by turning your Volvo off, then on again

Note this will not work on the 1998 models. This is the first year of the S70 and it is somewhat of a bastard model having carried over many bits and pcs from the 850 but with some modified functions as well. 1999’s S70 was more mechanically/electrically redesigned so the methods began working again.
I ended up buying a reset tool from FCP Groton and it works as advertised.

I’ve tried all the suggestions on my 1998 v70T5 but they don’t work. Service light still on. Any suggestions??

The 2008 V70 appears to be different. No key and no position 1 or 2 per se.

If I figure it out, I’ll be back(;-o)
