This question is in regards to my 1999 V70R AWD
I just removed my ABS module from my 1999 V70R AWD, so I could replace it with what "I THOUGHT" was a good unit. (At the time my ABS and Traction Control lights were illuminated on my instrument cluster)
After reinstalling it...Not only do I have the ABS/Traction control light on, the (red) BRAKE light is also illuminated.
As a nifty side effect the odometer, and speedo are now intermittent. (Sometimes they work, some times they don't)
What I do know is that when I push on the top of the plug to the ABS module the Speedo and Odometer start functioning again, and the BRAKE light vanishes.
I have inspected all of the pins to the plug, and everything looks perfect.
Any and all advice or shared personal experience would be appreciated.

well it sounds like a bad connection if pushing on it eliminates the issue. Ive never had issues of that sort, hopefully someone else will have something helpfull to add. "Temporarily cover the lights with black electrical tape!

Double check that the connector is firmly seated into the socket. That socket has a somewhat strange design and if the ears on the hood don't fully grasp the pins it will not fully seat. It will look OK and not really be fully plugged in.
Beyond that it is a bad module.

Ozark,
upon closer inspection one of dual sliding pins on the hood of the cover was snapped.
I have a few spares laying around so that should do the trick.
Thank you for the heads up.
