1998 S70 Have spark, fuel pump power, no fuel

:? "felt like it was running out of gas replace fuel pump, fuel relay has spark from coil and to spark plugs wont start just cranks pulled off fuel line crank mtr over for 40 sec no gas comes out, when the key is on number 2 position pump hums for few seconds so I have power to the pump

Hey Joe, don't really understand what you say you did. Did you check for fuel pressure at the end of the rail near the throttle body? It is possible for the fuel pump to run and not put out pressure. Did you replace the pump? Maybe a line came loose in the tank. Try to start the car then pull the fuel line off the filter and see if any fuel comes out there.

If you reread post i replace the pump and relay pull off fuel line at filter crank for 30 seconds no gas

- Jump terminals 15 and 87 on the fuel relay socket.
If fuel pump runs, car should start.

- If not, then check voltage at terminal 15, with key in position II, you should have 12V there.
If not check ignition switch/wiring etc.

If the wires on fuel pump are reversed it will run and not pump fuel

Jimmy your right i reverse earlier today and aftermarket wires on new pump were missed labeled i change to red on black reinstall pump works
