ok then if that is not a good question (cause it has been viewed but not answered) I changed my plugs and my car got worse dam car wouldnt start with the new plugs in so I put the old ones back in and it was fine for about 1 day then it starts missing.. I need to change the plugs and I wanted to correct the distance
Personally, I would gap them down under 0.030 inches... as well as use genuine Volvo plugs or cheaper Bosch copper cores and stay away from fancy or expensive Platinum plugs (others have had many issues with these). Good luck and hope this helped you.

S80 plugs in Volvo package are rebranded Bosch. For turbo they're copper but for non-turbo they're multi-electrode plats. Multi-electrode plugs are usually pre-gapped/optimized at the factory and shouldn't be messed with.
I replaced mine with Bosch Iridium plugs BTW and am loving them. Not sure why you can't use them in the turbos though.
