Automatic transmission shift linkage replacement

Postby Bwebb85 » 02 Mar 2012, 18:05

The other day a tow truck driver needed to move my car since the ignition lock went out. Instead of moving the plastic lock out of the way of the gear shifter he pryed the end of the linkage from the transmission. I have the new linkage and was wondering how bad is it to DIY? What interior panels needs to be removed? My local shop quoted me 2 hours to replace it. Any help will be appreciated. Oh it's on a 2006 s60 2.5T. Thanks
