Glove Box Repair with Hand-made Tools
This is a repair of the glove box with home made tools on a ’93 850 but it should apply to other years too. Thanks bsltx for the great write-up!
I just did the repair on my 93 850 and would like to share the tools I made to make this really easy with no damage to the leather or plastic.
With some patience and basic mechanical knowledge, you can do this repair in 1 or 2 hours with a cost of less than $5 dollars.The plates are available at your hardware store for .50 cents.
It is easiest when you have a second set of hands to hold the plates while you spread them with a stiff putty knife and saw the clip.
