I have a 2001 S40 and I am trying to do a diagnostic test on the car, but cannot locate where it needs to be pluged in to do the test. I have looked under that dash and also under the hood and still have not found it

Dear Sir,

The following Relates to a, 1998 Volvo V40 S/Wagon front r/h side Drive shaft seal on the gearbox side

I am looking for the physical width, inside & outside measurement of the front r/hand side drive shaft seal
were the CV-joint enters the transmission box. It's leaking gearbox oil through there.

Kind regards
Daan van tonder

Dear Sir/Madam,
I own a volvo S40 and it's difficult to get good service in Uganda because we don't have a very good volvo specialist & technician. I would like to stock genuine volvo parts starting with service parts. How much money do I need to start this business?

I have heard that mitsubishi and volvo came together on this one, but no where can I find any Japanese parts other than the trans, which BTW is the only issue on the car for me anyway. It slips too much IMO. But that is the case with most automatic transmissions anyway so no big deal there. I have seen the mitsubishi version and it does share the body but it is made in netherlands as well so half japanese is not accurate. 90% european contents makes this a stalwart car, But the only down turn is the trans as is the case with most Japanese transmissions used on several European makes.
