I have a problem like yours, but the difference is that a temp/pressure sensor on the engine is cutting off the a/c compressor when I drive in Phoenix, Arizona on a hot day. The a/c works fine in San Diego, Ca on a normal day. I'm looking for a fix, which may be resetting the sensor, adding an oil cooler, or going to a thicker oil to keep the pressure up.
