I may be a little late but... It is a bitch to get open. I had to take an extra long flat head, jam it right by the lock (at the top) and then take a hammer and hit the screwdriver to lever the thing open. I put some velcro on it and now it works again. :) Its $140 to buy a new one... Jeremy
