I was wondering if anybody has had trouble with the transmission on a 1998 5-speed S70. I took it to an independent Volvo mechanic and they diagnosed the problem having to do with the synchronizer and that Volvo did not make replacement parts and I would have to replace the transmission ($3000+ labor). The car only has 60K miles and then
called the Volvo dealer and they had never heard of any problems with a manual transmission under 100K. Any insight to this problem would be fantastic because I really enjoy my S70. Thanks.
