I had the volvo place to work on my a/c. The symtoms were the air would get cold, but then after it would cycle off, the air would be warm. They said it was my evaporator $1200.00, I let them replace it only to find out the same thing happened again, when i took it back they said oh it's the compressor, it gets hot and goes off, that would be another $880.00. I picked up my car and took it somewhere else and it was the compressor. I let them replace it. The air works properly now. I have called to volvo store, and will be meeting with them on Saturday to discuss the bad diagnosis, in hopes of getting some money back. I have been told the evaporator would have to get stopped up from within and if it was stopped up, then they would have to change the receiver/dryer too. The volvo store did change it based on the bill, I feel like i was taken to the cleaners. Do you have any info on the matter.
