Bill, You are a gentleman and a scholar for getting back to me. The "Check Engine" light went out on its own and my Volvo guy who ran the original diagnostics told me not to worry about it now. The "light bulb" light went on the very next day. One of the tail lights was out. The next day that light on the dash was no longer on but the tail light was back on. PeesusGeesus this is my first Volvo....what are they???.... self-healing cyborgs or something? Other cars I owned something was broke or it wasn't broke. On Motor Week television here the Check Engine light was the topic of the professional tips section. The guy said don't automatically replace the part referred to in the diagnostics. He said the part referred in the diagnostics is the part being impacted but is not neccesarily the defective part or cause of the problem. A small hose may cause the diagnostics to point to a major cost item as the problem. Sounds logical to me. |
