My 98 S70 has only 52K miles....I use synthetic oil every 3500k miles let the turbo cool down almost every time I use it (every time for highway driving) treat it better than I treat my wife. It is a great car to drive...road-worthy, fast, excellent brakes, way too comfortable,passing ability is phenomenal.....yet already I am having electrical problems with antenna, window, check engine light came on and then went off a few days later by itself, so did a bulb failure light (on then back off by itself). Never had problems like these at 52K with my two GM, two Ford, one Nissan vehicles. At 160K miles I still had the original Nissan battery had only one brake job, had a timing chain adjustment once, and never had an electrical probem (of course I didn't have any where near the electrical equipment on these other cars that newer Volvos have) Maybe the Volvos made when Sweden is dark most of the day and the Swedes depressed are the bad ones. Its funny how Volvo seems to be on the extremes...people love them or curse them. My vote is still out. Time will tell.
