Check the throttle body and see if it's clean. I have a 1989 Volvo 240DL, which I have had from day one. It now has approximately 280,000 miles on it. The car began to stall out. It would turn over, but not start. Initially it would start if I let it sit long enough. A Volvo serviceman suggested that the throttle body be taken off and cleaned. That was it! Now, just before it needs to be cleaned I recognize the slight "loss of power" while driving, almost like a "mini-stall" ... this usually happens about every 10,000 - 15,000 miles or so --- supposedly about 30,000 miles on a new car. Hope this helps.
