Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)
What size hoses do you need for the 302mm upgrade? Looking to do it on my 850 soon - especially since my insurer doesn't classify it as a modification. On the topic of insurance though, does anyone actually understand the thought process (or lack thereof) of insurers? Brake upgrade is totally fine ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)

All you need is a factory amp of your choice and the wiring harness for it. I used the 4x50 watt amp that ...

It does. All you need is a factory amp of your choice and the wiring harness for it. I used the 4x50 watt amp that mounts under the passenger seat. You just need to run the wiring up through the console to the radio and plug it all in. Pretty easy job. Do you know if the amp also works with 'normal...

The 302mm hoses are a smidge longer to account for the caliper now being a little farther away from the br...

Re: 850 T5 ABS Woes
It sounds like you've got the idea right: You test resistance on the harness connector, with the module unplugged. So you actually probe the sockets (connector), not the pins (module). The sockets are numbered according to the module pin that plugs into the, So for 11 and 4, figure out the socket fo...

Re: 850 T5 ABS Woes
Have you had the wheels off and inspected the tone rings on each wheel? It will only take one bad one to convince the car a wheel is slipping and activate ABS

Re: 850 T5 ABS Woes
if it is a 96 MY: check the big black insulated wires that run to the ABS module. The insulation tends to crack on these wires, oipening up room for corrosion. A few months back my ABS light came on after already resoldering the module twice a few years ago. Upon inspection, the insulation had crumb...
