A 1995 will have parking brake adjusters as star wheels inside the brake drums which have to be adjusted before the cables to get the shoes close to the drums.

forget it, ticking is normal. In the owners manual it even says ticking or up to 15 minutes is completely normal. You can't hydrolock with a leaky injector.
