Re: Temperature gauge stays at bottom then jumps to max

If the OBD2 is reading the correct ECT temperature then we can eliminate a lot of the remainder of the system.

May be an issue with the cluster itself as opposed to the remainder of the car if the car reads the correct data when checking OBD2.

I do not think these sensors differ between T5 to NA AFAIK.

@Abscate, on the volvo website it shows that these are the same through the P2 series. FCP differs from the volvo oem parts website. Any chance you have a spare P2 sensor you could stick in temporarily to see if it works?

Re: Mold removal from complete interior

I would say that you can use steam on plastics but I had an issue where the window switch plastic turned white after a lot of heat. Steam is wonderful for cleaning a lot of the interior. In water Restorarion they usually dehumidify and then kill the mould off with ozone generators and throw out all ...

Re: FS: UPdated- 2003 honda accord ex v6 2door (coupe) 6 speed MANUAL $4300 Antlers Oklahoma

From buying cars with non car people (my partner), i would say that the bones look good but quite few people will look past cosmetics when buying a car like this. If you can swap the rear bench seat, hide the wires in the footwell somehow, and clean that interior a bit more then i think you would ha...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I have a confession to make. After some research i have come to terms that messing up the mixture of coolant to water after applying a head gasket treatment led to the demise of my much beloved wagon. I looked at the pulley today and it took damage from the -33 C night when the engine block froze. T...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Does turning off DRL's involve some computer voodoo or a simpler way? I think VIDA is required unfortunately. A good scanner is required. I am able to do it with a foxwell scanner with the Volvo liscense. Does not require a software load or purchase, it’s just a configuration switch. A dealership s...

Re: 2003 Volvo V70 Vibration at Idle, Not Engine Mounts, This One Has Me Beat..HELP

My 08 s60 2.5T does not vibrate that much in idle. My motor mounts looked "good" but were sagging (hydraulic ones) and one was replaced which made it a bit better. How is your top mount? Is it a rubber or poly mount, i have heard the poly mounts can transfer more vibrations through the whe...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Clocks go back on Sunday so winter is officially upon us therefore I decided to put the winter wheels/tyres on even though it's a toasty 13°C today. Thor wheels with 225/45R17 Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 removed ready to be cleaned and stored. Thor.jpeg Replaced with Mimas wheels with 205/...

Re: Humor me for a bit.

Not to familiar with electronic methods but just run a dry pump. It should show no resistance. Worst case you remove the internals and leave it just with the bearing and pulley

Why do you want an electric pump?
