Re: Immobilizer question
That’s a horrible rabbit hole on the 2/76 module. One way around it is to ground the 85 terminal on the starter relay directly to a chassis ground with wire surgery The four relays in the kidney fuse box are , from left side of car to right Main engine Air pump ( usually empty on 99-00) Starter rela...

Re: Immobilizer question
I’ve documented both the turn in dash light sequence and the clutch switch measurements in this forum for the ME7 1999,2000 cars. I’ll try to find links and post up

Re: Immobilizer question
Cranking is enabled by the 2/76 light control module. If it isn’t cranking without the fuse pull, that’s where I would look. The immobilized will allow cranking but the engine won’t fire.

Re: Immobilizer question
It should be either 0 Volts or within 0.1 V of the battery voltage across the terminals I wonder why the 1st fuse ( the one i pull to start each time) which is the ignition switch contact system fuse, has battery voltage even when the key is off, the other 4 fuses inline with it do not have voltage...

Re: Immobilizer question
2/76 s the lock control module. Its a white plastic box clipped to the frame under the dash - you need to remove the kick plate on the driver side to see it. It has two green plugs (A and B) and a printed circuit board inside. Troubleshooting that board is nasty. Its primary function is to control t...

Re: Immobilizer question
Fortunately I now have 2 dealerships near me (less than 10km away). I had an issue that baffled me and our friends on here. I swapped out stacks of parts and could for the life of me and with the help of guys like abscate, Rick and others pinpoint the issue. I struck lucky in that one of the dealers...

Re: Immobilizer question
Jeepers creepers…now which. Wiring diagram applies, a 1999 or 2000? I did a dive into the lock control module 2/76 for you. ( I keep calling it light control module but it’s correct name is lock control module. ) The ECU sends the crank enable on pin B22, and it grounds the starter relay through a b...

Re: Immobilizer question
I’ll look for info on CDM 000D CDM ( C an and D river I nformation M odule) AKA DIM. CDM-000D = DIM-000D. If you look at his screenshot there are no control modules labeled CDM. It is probably a clerical error in the VIDA database. The CDM/DIM on the 2000 C70 also serves as the CEM. Its is a commun...
