Remember when...?
Most everything you bought or used was made in America. Broadcast TV was free. ( ok technically I guess it still is, but who uses an antenna, and do they really work ) Cable TV was commercial free ( remember that was the whole point in paying for it ) Home cooking was the norm ( fast crap didn't exi...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Maybe I'm missing something, but my Volvo heater hose clip and seal kit came with:
4 black rubber o-rings, 2 yellow clips, and 2 yellow plastic rings. I believe 2 o-rings, 1 clip and 1 ring go on each hose, but as I'm at the same point as you, and haven't installed them yet, I could be wrong.

So for you logical types that might be following along; there are 10 bolts that I could not identify.
They were in the box of parts that the machine shop included with the old parts.
They hold the flexplate on to the crank.
Therefore the flexplate is still 130 miles away at the machine shop

Replace trans seals
So with the engine out, I'm tempted to replace the transmission seal behind the torque converter, as well as the axle seal. But on the other hand, " if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Trans only has 150k on it. I do have the Corteco seals on hand, but maybe the original ones will outlast th...

Re: New Volvo 850 Purchase!
Yes they take Dextron.
Did you check the trans doing the multi-shift etc process ? You can't just pull the stick and check like others.
