Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Finally reinstalled the cylinder head on the 850. Just waiting on the coolant pipe gasket, which I thought I had, but apparently I didn't. I didn't think my lower back could handle leaning in and setting the head in place, so.... IMG_20250914_102530819_HDR.jpg I like this photo. Massive chain hoist...

Re: 2000 V70 SE - Is there a Cargo cover?
There has to be a way to mark an index card for this and post it here without shipping templates around… That can be done for sure, my goal with the help and generosity of Neil is to make a 3D model that can be used to print templates so in future hunting down and shipping around templates won't be...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I painted my car the weekend before this one. Been away a week and got back on friday, I had a fresh look at the tailgate again and the orange peel was just too much to live with. But I put down a lot of coats so should be no problem color sanding it down. https://i.imgur.com/nLHbkxgh.jpeg https://i...

Re: '99 GLT fuel injectors
Strictly "book knowledge" as I've never owned a 99 (dodged that bullet!) but ... 99 V70 GLT shipped with browns (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-fuel-injector-s60-s80-xc70-c70-9186340?), which are the same as reds (https://www.fcpeuro.com/blog/reds-blues-and-greens-a-volvo-fuel-inje...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I welded up a new rear exhaust https://i.imgur.com/bfsDfRTh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pGGFWdSh.jpg I filled up the groove under the window with sikaflex instead of putting in a new trim piece in. This is supposed to work better at keeping crap out and no metal inside the trim to rust. https://i.imgur....

LPT to LPT swaps straight in, HPT to HPT swops in (not sure on R), NA to NA.

Re: S70 Turbo Contactless ETM Needed
It’s tucked under a bunch of stuff on a 1999, it’s tough access. Pull the radiator shroud out to get more room. It mounts vertically as I remember so the bolts face down Hers the history Sveedy Original ETB made by Magneti Marelli Two contact wipers, lasts about 150k miles then starts coding errors ...

Re: S70 Turbo Contactless ETM Needed
Physically, all three units fit all these cars, they mount with 4 M6 longish bolts. Software in the ETM must match and marry with software in the ECU. There is no way to tell what software is in a junkyard ETM unless you can power it up in a car. There have been many upgrades , too, so the date and ...

Re: Restoring volvo badges
I'd like something that lasts on par with the originals, that's why I'm thinking of spray paint and 2k clear. Now I tried the same inverse effect on the others and in daylight I am kinda digging this look. https://i.imgur.com/3Tnrce2h.jpg They're wet here so looking blacker and shinier, I like that ...
