Bought a used HU-650 and god my radio working again! My god the difference this unit has over the faulty HU-650 I had, louder volume, more bass, less crackling. Jesus christ is it amazing.

The corrugated hose on the pump had developed a pin hole leak. and caused the original problem. I am confident that I patched that. Wrapped it with rubber and put on a fuel injection clamp. High pressure leak no longer visible.

+1 with Abscate on that. A weep can be eliminated with AT-205. Blue Devil also make a similar product I have used on oil leaks which worked well.

Look first at the fuel trims (STFT, LTFT). If it indicates unmetered air sucked in then smoke the intake next. No holes found - look at MAF. If the engine is turbo, IAT is also important. I forgot to mention both oxygen sensors are supposed to be replaced every 100k miles. Old upstream sensor will degrade engine efficiency (MPG drops), old downstream sensor will report the dead catalytic converter.

UPDATE For the past year or so, I've experienced studder/hesitation at highway speed when accelerating. Finally, experienced failure such that a CEL came on. Turned out it was P0303 and P0300.
