Re: No AWD and no codes 2005 xc70
The drive over test wouldn't find a faulty AG sleeve. The AOC (Haldex made unit on front of rear diff) will have enough fluid pressure to lightly apply the drive clutch and then rear wheels would turn driveshaft. With rear wheels on ramps so you can get under car, have it in Park with key off and th...

Re: No AWD and no codes 2005 xc70
ECM-439C is either a cracked rubber ring on fuel filler cap or a dead EVAP test pump.
No common communication errors. At this point I would check the collar sleeve as others already suggested.

Re: head gasket or cracked block ? 2002 v70xc
The odds of a cracked block on a B5244T3 are pretty slim. You description points toward a head gasket maybe some head warpage but not a cracked block or cracked head. Mixing of oil and antifreeze in the crank case or cooling system would be a give away for a cracked block. How does the engine run as...

Re: head gasket or cracked block ? 2002 v70xc
You can also carefully inspect #5 for cracks but RHP is on point here, cracked blocks are very rare in street driven Volvos
One of the R motors had an issue where the sleeves were thin but it also only cracked when teens “ I only boosted to 28 psi for a few minutes”

Re: Moldy 2005 V50 5-speed w/blown HG.. am I crazy to think of fixing it?
Why is there mold? Do you know if the car has ever been flooded? These cars are known to leak water from sunroof vents so moldyness around front pillars maybe floor there makes sense... but in other places, not too sure... I have a 5-speed 2007 S40, definitely believe in keeping it. But it sure is h...
