You can get a little torque improvement and higher MPG by advancing intake cam 5-8 degrees. You will suffer some loss at high revs.

Maybe u put back the wrong kind/amountof fluid? Not sure how sensitive these trannys are when it comes to that, but sounds like one of the first things to try. Especially if it ran fine before the drain n fill?
