If the p/s res stays put on the two lower slides, it should be enough. The upper tab is more annoying that useful

Easy might not be the word I'd choose to use :) Lots of cursing when the driver's side axle pulled free of the transmission and prevented the lower strut bolt from lining up. Once I realized what was happening, I took the axle out of the knuckle, reseated it, and started again. Basically my approach...

used struts with new spring seats they installed. Doesn't matter they were used they have a lifetime guarantee. They ride smooth.
