I don’t think it will be a problem. Worse comes to worst, you can swap your original spring over to this strut. The struts should all be the same, it’s the springs that are different. How different? Probably not much.

Travel is likely the same, it's probably just a little stiffer. I know for the XC90, for example, they just superseded the standard strut with the sport version. If its the black one on the back by the seat base it will release the upper seat to fold up towards the steering wheel. There should be one on the drivers and passenger seat. Send a picture so I know which lever you're talking about.
