Thanks for the checklist boss. The calipers were replaced in 2020. The hoses… are original. 25 years and 152,000 miles. So I ought to replace them sooner or later anyway. I will also check for rubbing on the dust shield. Thank you again.

Quick update. I installed the new, much, much quieter exhaust system. I am very happy with it in the few short (sub 300 mile) trips that I have put on it. The diameter of the exhaust and angle is different. The manifold-back piping on N/A vehicles is smaller diameter. Someone is selling a used Stainless Simmons exhaust for turbos on swedespeed.

When I had to jack things to replace the mounts, I used a piece of 2x4 between a bottle jack and the trans. It worked well enough. All you need is something softer than aluminum. And it doesn’t really distribute the load any more to have a larger piece than you need. But any decent chunk of 2x mater...
