I plan to do an oil change soon and it has me wondering something Would an engine oil flush work for the bottom channel of the PCV? It was clogged when I replaced the box and the lines, and the usual method seems to be oil pan removal. Would there be a chance that an oil flush can dissolve the bloc...

First question to answer: FWD v's AWD creeping forward and more peppy. Definitely. You have a lighter car and less rotating hardware to move as well as the viscous coupling and the angle gear to overcome. Early FPR. If I recall that part is now NLA from Volvo and has been for a couple of years or so...

Slowly getting my exterior detailed after long neglect. Today I refinished the lower body cladding and door strips with boiled linseed oil. I’ve done this before and it looks great and lasts a LONG time. Only downside is it takes a long time to dry, so I stuck the car in the garage for the weekend. ...

I have had a look at the parts drawings again at higher magnification, and it now looks clear as hausmeister and Bdub have clarified, there is no gasket between the turbo and the downpipe to the cat. My gasket was for a HPT so maybe there is a difference between HPT and LPT? Perhaps. I can't say as my car is an HPT, hers is an LPT and both have angle-flanged 16Ts going to 3" downpipes, so...
