Re: 2001 V70 2.4T ECM-8410 5-volt power supply signal too low
VIDA seems to do funny things with voltage, like run it down very quickly. I put a volt meter on the battery terminals, engine idling should show 14v + . If not, check the small signal wire (spade plug) on the back of the alternator. Mine was corroded. Next suspect is the regulator. Ground wires on ...

Re: Autel code reader wouldn't accept 13 digit VIN
I had an autel reader, it cost $240, it was ok but vida was so much better that I sold the autel to a kid I worked with.
Go with vida, its available on thumb drive.
V2GO external drive , good if you already have a laptop $100.
You also need the dice unit.

Re: Steering Rack Coupler Problem.
after removing the pinch bolt try inserting a screwdriver blade and prying the slot open a bit to break the bond to the shaft.
Also try inserting the pinch bolt backward, block the slot with a knife blade, the pinch bolt should push the slot wider.

Re: Cautiously Optimistic: CEL P0027x2 + P0079 (?Possibly Solved?)
The computer fan is normal. You'd know if it quit working, 15 codes in 2 minutes. Slow VVT reaction time will trip the code, can be due to low/wrong oil or oil pickup/galley/mesh filter in CVVT clogged. Mine does the same, I feed it oil and it stops complaining. It usually takes a cycle or two for t...

Re: Heat Soak no start P2
Theres harness that runs behind the starter which can give hard hot starts, moving it away from the starter helps, its known to pick up RF interference. It might be the crank position sensor wire.

Re: 04 s60 no start clicking
Sounds like a flat battery or poor elec connection, bad ground somewhere.
Break out the meter and read the battery v, then read the big red cable at the solenoid.
make sure the engine turns freely by hand.

Re: brief hesitation at highway speed
2008 S60 2.5T 202k miles I've had this vehicle for about 10 years now. The car runs and idles like new. Only issue is a brief hesitation/stumble that occurs at highway speeds. I'm typically cruising at 50-60 mph, and when I go to accelerate, there is some hesitation/stumble that happens for about 2...

Re: Proven method to remove an engine oil stain on a cement driveway
A heat gun will boil the oil to the surface, then use your favourite material to soak it up.
Corn starch works.

Re: Heat Soak no start P2
Thank you all for the replies, I finally had some time to try some new fixes. I believe I fixed my rough idle problem today by replacing the fuel pressure sensor and removing the blowoff valve which had a bad seal. Logging fuel pressure with VIDA showed some large spikes in fuel pressure randomly a...
