Re: Request Pricing Assistance on my 2006 V70
A bit apples and oranges but my last buy was a 05 XC90 2.5T, 190k miles for $2500. New tires, no oil burning, no leaks but needed lots (lots) of cosmetic TLC (leaking sunroof drains, a-pillars, deep clean of interior). So far been a good runner but I’ve had to put around $1000 in it and labor up fro...

Re: Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life, Purpose of Human Life, philosophical/religious facts, theories etc.
Not sure I understand the question but I’d do a glove test and check compression.

Re: I was so ill I couldn't even post
Got it myself, stopped at urgent care yesterday and lungs sound ok so need to stick with over the counter meds and rest.
Except for that sick tree in my back yard that died this year so I decided cut it down (free city branch pickup is this week)—that was a bad idea and paying for it today…

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I come to confess and repent of my sins. The MVS faithful have preached well regarding OEM motor mounts, but I had strayed. Somehow tempted by the harlot Hamburg Technic I wallowed in the sin of crap knockoff front and rear mounts. Immediately I felt the weight of my mistake through the vibrations a...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Decided to do an oil and filter change and SRI reset. 12½ months and 3,727 miles since the oil was last changed at the time of having the turbo rebuilt. Genuine Volvo oil was cheaper to buy online than the equivalent Castrol oil Oil Service 1.jpg Oil Service 2.jpg Internal filler neck still looking...

Re: Outside air blowing from behind glove box while driving - 07 S60
I’d bet on the cowl under the passenger wiper. When I bought my 05 XC90 used I needed to seal up the cowl as I got some water leaks from there getting into the passenger footwell after going through the car wash. Should be easy to diagnose once you get in there.

Re: Overheating Weird - Smartest People Needed 2016 XC90

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Rear brakes on the kids 05 XC90 2.5T today. Parking brake has never worked in the two years we’ve owned it. Previous owner/mechanic slapped pads on it at some point, leaving the rotors which were pretty spent. And the shoes—oh boy. They are supposed to have brake material on them right? IMG_13...

Re: Recently purchased my first Volvo
Welcome! You have a great car. Once sorted I do oil changes every 4-5000 miles with full synthetic. I’ve bought three 2.5Ts that needed 2000 mile intervals with Marvel Mystery Oil to de-sludge them due to previous owner doing longer intervals. They came around but I changed oil based on color for th...
