Don't know what it was about this puller that inspired confidence. But after a little back and forth (and installing this thing wrong a few times) I was able to pull the pulley off. Closing the loop here, I ordered from the local Volvo dealer. It's coming from Volvo Classic Parts in Sweden, so it'll take 4-6 weeks, but it'll be new!

Here are pics of the new one (on left) vs the old one (right). FYI, my interior code is 3990 and you can see how my original one is a little more "yellow" vs the "stone" like color of the newer one.. That being said, it's not next to any other pieces that make it really stand out...

Anyone who can get the suction hose off the drier while in the car is a rock star. The fastest way to do this is shear off the snout on the drier, take the compressor bolt off the line and get the drier and hose up on the bench to attack it. New drier, $20 Hours saved in agony on that 22mm big flar...
