Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

-5°C this morning and with the heavy rain last night the door handles had frozen, the door seals however were fine as I had coated them with Gummi Pflege a few weeks ago. Once the car was opened I checked the oil and water level and stuck my hand under the turbo to check there was no more oil leaks ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Under trays were only fitted to diesel engine cars in Europe, as far as I'm aware there were never fitted to petrol cars. I fitted a used one from a diesel car to my 850 a few years ago, at the time they were still available from Volvo part number 1397236

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Now that the suspension clunks are gone I think I need to address my spare tire and jack. I can't figure out how they stay secure. I can't tell if I'm missing something or if I just need to pad the whole area. Tried posting this earlier this week for you but as I was in a foreign country my message...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Saw my two girls today for the first time in 6 weeks. Val on the left and Kära on the right have been tucked up in the dark since New Year whilst I was off to warmer climates enjoying the sun while everyone back home in Scotland was freezing their bits off...

Re: How to test a battery cable?

All batteries in a confined space inside the car should be vented. V70 with battery in the boot/trunk is vented as pic below

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

The 850 is still tucked away in the garage awaiting the better weather. The MOT is now due but I've put it off for another couple of weeks, as last year when going to and returning from the MOT station there was a heavy frost during the night and the gritters were out, so when I returned home the ca...

Re: SRS-Airbag Service Urgent

I have Vida and also iCarsoft for diagnosing faults. While Vida is more in-depth it’s awkward to carry around (laptop, Vida, cable) and difficult to navigate through. ICarsoft fits in the glovebox and can be plugged in and running within a few seconds, so that is my preferred diagnostics tool.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Started the car today for the first time since 30th September last year. For some strange reason it had a very noisy hydraulic tappet which it never had before when left over winter. A few minutes later it was all quiet again and back to normal https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7Tk44WZT85M My plan for ...
