My problem is the holes aren't holes anymore. The bolts aren't stuck they're gone, so the holes are now effectively half holes. So a bolt won't stayed captive in the slot as its tightened. The holes have broken across the lines as on the attachment. I was going to use stainless steel bolts for sure...

Buy Chinese stuffs on eBay, you will regret in 1-2 yrs.

Buy Volvo stuffs (NOS), they last forever.

A welder is definitely in my future. I just want to get this on right now. I've done a little migraine welding in the past so hopefully I remember the most of it and my FIL can give me some better tips.
