Re: Is a used Volvo S60 a reliable car ?
I haven't heard about much problems with S60s of those years. I personally have 2 4cyl T6 xc60s in the family with around 60-70k. Haven't had much of issues with them. Regular maintenance thus far(and it is awd, supercharger, type r platinum versions). It is no Lexus in reliability, but if the car h...

Re: 2001 S60 T5 How to remove fuel from tank.
Do yourself a favor and fix it right. Fuel leaks are not self sealing. Give it proper condition-hot/cold, full tank-and it will be back. I would buy new O-ring and plastic "cap screw ring" and replace everything to assure worry free driving.

Re: 2011 C30 R Design 2.5T AT Bulb Failure
I would try to find electrical diagram and inspect if there is any common feeds between brake and headlight. Maybe they are being commanded by BCM? I would focus on finding ground connectors for the BCM and right headlight and see if they are not corroded.

Re: 850 1995 Wagon
I doubt that issue is related, unless your alternator "spikes". I would start with testing voltage on idle, then on 3500rpm, then on idle with "demand"(high beams, fan full speeed), heated seats, defroster). If your voltage is in speck, I would move to testing dashboard.(your rea...

Re: Windows and seat not working.
Jonesroad your issue might be diferent since your car is S40 and original thread had S60. If is possible that both issues are related, but most likely it is 2 different problems. I would start with obtaining access to alldata DIY for $25 per month. Find electrical diagram for problematic seat(way ea...

Re: Windows and seat not working.
Sorry to hear that. That green corrosion is hard to fully eradicate. It is like gangrene and travels up the wire. You can clean the contact point and think that you restore connection, but green crusties traveled inside the insulation and at times you need to cut several inches of wire to reach clea...

Re: A friend is considering this 2010 XC70 3.2
Depends on the price, but should not be more than 6-7k i think( i am outtouch with reality, so might be more). On positive side it is 3.2 non turbo reliable engine with chain. On negative, it is 3.2 which consumes the same as 5.0 F150. I think older 3.2 and 3.0 were utilizing some weird water pump d...

Re: 04 S60 steering column u joint repair/lubrication/how too?
Agree with honorable members above about #14 and #13 being a common issue. Only thing, if after cleaning and lubrication your results would not be 100% and you will decide to buy new parts...please buy brand new oem and not ProPartsSweden. My #13 developed "tight, click" spot after 4k mile...
