Manhattan Memorial Day
Remembering those who fell this weekend…
Battled my way to Manhattan to pick up little one. Not too bad traffic, 2 hours each way.
Stuck on Williamsburg bridge
Random stuff left on side ??
The Kat with shiny company
Welcome to Manhattan
West Village
My favourite furry girl
Apple pie at home

Re: Pulling to the left, 2004 V70
If it pulls to the left under acceleration then there’s a strong possibility that the RH control arm bushings have gotten sloppy.

Re: Pulling to the left, 2004 V70
Just did subframe bushings, well worth doing to improve ride and handling. Same goes for lower control arms. I’d say both of these are needed on P2 chassis cars with 150k miles. Only downside is you should do an alignment after control arms. Check inner tie rod joints and swaybar links for slop whil...

Re: Pulling to the left, 2004 V70
Oh, if you have one bad strut it will push up higher over bumps and compressions on one side and the steering geometry is wonky. We chased a weird wiggle / swerve on my son's old BMW, which was on the edge of dangerous. Turned out to be one bad shock / strut.

Safety systems, bandaids and lawsuits
Those of you that have been on the wrong end of a liability lawsuit will know exactly what I'm talking about. You can go about your day and not read this. Those who haven't might want to take a minute to take in some light reading. For the love of God or whatever deity you go for, DO NOT ever apply ...

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
Definitely want to replace that ball joint, or at minimum seat it properly. If you remove the brake caliper, strut and tie rod a local shop could press new ones in for you for cheap. They are a bear to get seated without the right tools. That said—I doubt that is root cause unless the ball joint is ...

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
I ordered a balljoint. I'll replace that and see how it behaves. I'm more curious to see if that solves the issue than anything else. Thank you! it looks like one of the balljoint bolts snapped , and the other isn't far behind. I went through that last summer, welded a nut to the broken remnant to ...

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
Here's how I've done mine. See that short little plumbing pipe with a cap on it? Cheap from the hardware store. Soft iron so it doesn't damage anything. Make sure you don't pinch the rubber boot. Tap it home. DON'T use the bolts to pull it in.

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
Is it just me, or is the tie rod end not fully seated also? I just put one on, and I thought it seated more tightly than this one appears to?
