Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
AWD parking brakes are an issue if a) you never use them or service them b) the cables will fail near the pivot point on the rear axle near the springs (held in place with a 10mm headed nut). Done! Neil. I assume the parking brake was never used by the previous owner. The sheath is cracked and cabl...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Finally got new brake hoses. How much fluid does it take to do a hose replacement and a flush? Would it make any difference flushing before the new hoses because to my mind it would mean less debris 250 mL per brake caliper bled is enough, so 1 liter bottle will do it. You can see the color change ...

Full tin...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I effed up majorly when polishing on the lower edge of the repair and the clear coat let go. I managed to save it by repaint...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Finished the whole suspension before the end of new year. I was able to loosen the jam but of the outer tie rods with my newly arrived crows foot wrenches. The threads were pre soaked in pb blaster and lotsa heat. So outer tie rods are done! Its not aligned yet, but it drives like a dream. The new d...
