Re: Custom 3D Printed Parts for P80 Volvos
I've dabbled in 3d parts for my own cars but I haven't made the jump to ASA yet. I know its better for UV resistance and high temps. But I'm think bigger parts than emblems or lock pins.

Re: Custom 3D Printed Parts for P80 Volvos
It's great that you're offering replacements for such old cars. Consider creating new parts for common problems, like a stopper for the center console arm rest hinge to prevent it from over extending backward and snapping the weak stopper in the console plastic. I've been working around that failure...

Re: Custom 3D Printed Parts for P80 Volvos
Things that come to mind would be any and all interior trim pieces, I designed a replacement for the inner door handle housing several years ago. I bet it would go better in ASA now. Re: where do you keep your phone in your 850?
Proclipusa used to make one that attached to the right side of the centered area. It wedged itself between the dash pad and the dashboard and did not block any vents. I don't see it available anymore. I used to have one years ago. Here are some pictures i stole from Google. BR.851936.jpg BR.851936-1...

Re: where do you keep your phone in your 850?
I use magnetic ones that clamps on the vents in all my cars, the V70 and the Subie have thick enough vents to support them. The 940 however has thin ones (similar to an 850iirc), which eventually broke off. To avoid breaking them again when I replaced the vent, i made a small 3d printed support to r...

Re: P80 dash mount repairs
Be careful when you do this. The repair has to be thin as the 4 mounts sit in a cupped section on the dash. The thin plates do minimal lifting on the dash mounts so don't affect how it sits. Unfortunately I don't have a car to take a picture of to show it. I am still hoping to get this completed thi...
