Is there a third color? I think there is a beige version as well which I believe is also NLA. I had a 2000 V70 which had the 2 tone light brown/beige interior. I think it was oak and beige? maybe. Are you sure it is the axles and not one of the front brake backing plates that is bent and touching a rotor?

It could be the carrier bearing on the RH front axle. Depending on the axle brand used for replacement it may be bad. Does the clicking happen on turning and the straight driving?

The trick would be to make the size a snug fit under the cowl of a V70 so you can store them there.
