Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

As it had snowed all day, I took a 40 minutes walk to pick up my recently purchased black 2006 Volvo V70 from the vehicle finisher.
I asked them to clean the complete interior, including an ozone treatment. It now looks nearly like straight from the factory!

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Wow! Thats a beautiful car! I've not seen cloth interior on one of these, they all seem to be leather in North America. Is it Diesel? Thanks! It was actually the least expensive interior. I'm happy to have found a non-leathered interior, as for me it always feels cold in winter and hot in summer. M...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

The elk had an issue with not opening the fuel filler door release. Of course it had to happen at a gas station, as the gas tank was as good as dry... Tried to find the emergency release handle behind the trunk interior side cover without success. Flipped a coin in my mind and took the trip to the m...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Took Longnose Elk—my trusty black 2006 Volvo V70 — out for a much-needed spa day at the car wash today. What started as a quick rinse turned into a full-blown detailing odyssey. I’m talking hours. Vacuuming out gravel, crumbs and cat fur was the easy part. But I scrubbed every surface, polished the ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Brodie is a cutie! The pre-owner of my Volvo had dogs too. Besides of the Volvo metal bar devider at the rear seat back rest, he mounted two cage doors close to the trunk door. They can be taken out without any screws. It doesn't say any brand name on it, but perhaps you could find them on Google. @...

Re: Saying goodbye to an old friend............

You did a great job in maintaining Blackie over the years. I hope you'll have a great time with your new purchase, and I wish you save travels wherever the roads may lead you.

BBQ Season Prep: Time to Clean the Grill! With summer in full swing and BBQ season heating up, I figured it was time to clean the old grill. https://i.imgur.com/q83d7cl.jpg Taking it apart was a breeze—easier than assembling IKEA furniture, and that’s saying something. https://i.imgur.com/HT10RG1.jp...

Re: Let's see your Volvo (The Photo Thread)

The "Longnose Elk", a 2006 Volvo V70 2.4 liter 5- cylinder gasoline (175 hp) manual transmission, that I purchased in December '24. It had only one pre-owner, who took good care of it. https://i.imgur.com/PQNZd1L.png https://i.imgur.com/5p2a6CB.png https://i.imgur.com/kjvb3LD.png https://i...

Re: 2006 XC70 safety grille in my V70

Here's a screenshot of the item mounting from the manual. It's located over the rear seats back rest as a divider to the cargo.

I hope this helps!

Re: MVS approaching 24th birthday

I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Matthew and everyone in the Matthews Volvo community. Since joining back in January, I came here hoping to find like-minded people who shared my passion, and I can honestly say the warmth, kindness, and genuine support I’ve received h...
