Steering Rack Identification; 1998 V 70
Just a note on identifying the steering rack installed on these cars. According to FCP Groton''s site there were 2 designs of steering racks fitted to the V-70. I learned that I had the SMI rack, but had a bit of trouble in getting the right part so I thought I would share my experience. The FCP Gr...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Really nice clean junkyard, no parts lying around. That fuel pump relay bypass is fine for testing but you really shouldn’t run like that all the time. In my case they did not include the 4 new E-Torx bolts or the later style bolt and washer axle retainer. The bearing and box were 8.2lbs. I would allow ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Most of the ones I have seen removed have double sided tape and the 2 mounting metal brackets, one each end.
Good Luck!

Re: xiaotec "850 OBD-II" Android app on Google Play for '96-'98 850/S70/etc
Thank you for creating the app. It’s helping me work thorough some issues. I would like to add another remote, since there was only 1 when I bought the car. Do you know if the US remotes that are on eBay also works for the eu cars? I can’t find any used remotes under 9184784. EBay has used remotes ...

Re: xiaotec "850 OBD-II" Android app on Google Play for '96-'98 850/S70/etc
Hi! Thank you! For remote functionality as i point in Help section of Remote programming window in the App: This is up to frequency of the remote which differs per remotes. Technically you could replace soldering the component behind of it to make it as other one in theory level. Its too why i on v...
