Re: '01 Idle Stumble/Surges

Nice call with the alternator regulator, I hadn't heard about this defect yet, I'll look into it. Fortunately I checked my fan module a while ago and its part number is not of the affected ones. I'm just curious how they function and how to know if it's functioning correctly. So was it really plug a...

Re: Front axle replacements for P2 (2002 V70 XC)

Just went through this scenario a few weeks ago and ended up just getting a GKN replacement axle. I've had okay experience with 1Aauto in the past for other vehicles (not axles). Their sway bar end links are absolute crap, they'd fail within 6 months to a year. The overall consensus it seems is if y...

Burnt Relay Pins

I was able to trace down some faults found in VIDA this past weekend. My reverse lights were not working despite swapping the bulbs out. VIDA showed REM-8E13 DTC, which pointed to open circuit for that relay. Swapped the relay in that location for a good one and voila they worked; therefore it's a b...

I cut and re-soldered them, reset the DTC, and now the faulty signal condition hasn't come back. Usually it would come back ri...

Re: Will P80 coilovers fit a P2?

I do know apparently a lot of P80 suspension components carried over to the early P2s. I have a 2001 V70 with a very low production VIN number (101xxx) and many of the strut components are actually P80 components, not P2. Not to say that a full assembly is plug n play, I can't confirm that. One of t...

Re: ‘01 Stop/neutral TCM Update

That is very funny that is literally all it takes. Contacted another dealer outside of my town and they gave me the correct info. Turns out that TJ 16761 is the PDF/Document outlining the software, and P/N 30677036 is the correct TCM update which includes the stop/neutral control fix. Just providing...

Re: ‘01 Stop/neutral TCM Update

Just an update for the update; the dealership ended up doing instead what's called a Service 2.0 software update. This apparently includes the P/N 30677036 Neutral/Control software, along with anything else it might need. This includes updates for other modules like the ECM or ETM if your car needs ...
