Chaosrob 1999 v70R 601 save, Going to need a lot of parts, lot of help and do a lot of reading..

Hi all, just pulled a non running, rough 99 v70R auto out of a field in Missouri where it has been sitting since 2012. The car is 99% rust free but a non runner and is going to need a lot of work and parts to get it where it needs to be. I know I should run but I like a challenge. I will share along...

It does indeed come back as an R in that color by vin: YV1LV62D4X2587247 I'm curious. Being an R, I would have expected a duel muffler at the rear, not a single one. Was 2000 the only year with dual mufflers? We would have to look at the Vin# for sure, as I have never seen a R in that Red. The only ...

Okay guys, please excuse the mess as I had to move a lot out to squeeze the car in there. After changing the tank, making a couple of lines , putting fresh oil in it is alive after over 13 years of sitting. I don't have a filter wrench that would fit so I didn't run it long. Any recommendations for ...

TY. These are the parts I already ordered. Some have made it here and some will be here this week. I think I pretty much followed your recommendation except maybe the upgrade jkit https://i.imgur.com/OUBtHff.png https://i.imgur.com/jU7SGiF.png https://i.imgur.com/n995WHd.png https://i.imgur.com/IaE0...

TY. I actually prefer the current trim to wood, wood looks good in estate wagons and fancier trims imho but sportier ones it looks a bit out of place to my eye Working AC required in MO! Think about putting a wood interior into that, rob. The charcoal leather really looks nice warmed up…even better ...

Funny enough that you should say this, I just ordered a grill yesterday lol The black marble is fantastic. It’s one of the reasons I’ve kept my GLT so long instead of trying to find a T5. Could always swap it into a T5 of your choosing. However, speaking from personal experience, a GLT car is a very...

In the spirit of "while I am here" I decided to pull the turbo for rebuild. It seemed fine but with the seals sitting dry for so long I didn't want it to come back and bite me in the rear at a later date. All the rubber needed changed anyway so why not? https://i.imgur.com/5nOlLBd.jpg http...

Got the exhaust on today and added/topped off all fluids and ran it for quite awhile today, no leaks! Check engine light is on for downstream 02 sensor I am still waiting on the extension to be able to plug it in. On to the suspension and brakes now!
