Re: How many miles are on your Volvo(s)?

Just shy of 313k miles on my 2004 XC70. Re-Volv catted downpipe, deleted stock S60R catback and tune by IPD. Daily, I am amazed at the power this 18 year old, practical, relatively unattractive, beige station wagon still has! By the way, it’s not as loud as it seems on camera. The only time I hear t...

Re: P80 P2 Coolant pipe o-ring & install 976045

Installation went beautifully ! I can say that the O-ring can be installed without pulling the water pump. As long as the end of the pipe is tapered. I also slipped the O-ring on the pipe and left it that way for a couple of days to help stretch it some. When I was ready to install, I took it off th...

Brush hauling in Oklahoma

Today was a trip to haul tree and bamboo brush from my home to my acreage. The trip was in 1976 Ford F350 with 16 foot flatbed trailer and as much brush as I could tie down on both. The trip was loud (460 V8 exhaust is open and about 3 feet long under the cabin), slow (top speed about 35 MPH to keep...

Re: Fixing things Feb 13 2022

 BB, php goes between the Web server (software) and the database. I could make a thousand analogies, but it's just the middle thing of three thingies. It uses the data from the database and cooks it up into HTML that the Web server software sends to you and your browser when you request a page...

Re: Is AWD to FWD a good idea?

You can go to the extreme of removing the angle gear as well and leaving the collar in place. Some have done that with hose pipe clamps. That way you will get rid of basically all of the AWD driveline. You can go even further as our friend bmdubya did with his V70R and remove the whole rear sub-fram...

It is still available. NE Ohio is probably a solid day of driving away from here. Ask as many questions as you need to make it worthwhile for you.

Re: Banjo bolt delete?

I have 24 Nm in my notes for both banjos. I looked in Alldata to confirm but could not find it. Someone with VIDA running can confirm Use new copper crush washers and clean all the surfaces carefully to get a good seal. If you replace the banjo bolt, make sure replacement is identical in depth to or...
