Re: I think I’m gonna buy this… unless you guys strongly disapprove
She said she’d get back to me in a day or so but I’m going to just move on unless I hear from her soon with news that everything is cool. Which would be great, but yeah, it did seem too good to be true which is why I kept asking more questions, which now I’m glad I did, because before the last set ...

Re: Best xc90 first gen
There are a lot of XC90s approaching 200k miles and many that are over. The very first high level question I would ask is what is your level of fixing and repairing vehicles. The single biggest issue plaguing 1st Gen XC90s is delayed maintenance, in any year and engine variant. The second question w...

Re: Tire talk! My Conti's are shot at 26k miles
Reviving this old thread. My C70 came with Conti ExtremeContact DWS06. Still about 5/32 left but decided to throw them on the new to me wheels. I wonder if belts are busted internally as I have a tug at the wheel occasionally, strange as it sometimes it goes away. So…came across these Continental Su...

Re: C70 subframe brace
The big mid brace from the verts does make a difference. We have one on both of our cars. The little front V-brace can't be used on the non-vert subframe unless you add threaded inserts to the front to mount it. If you see one of the big braces in the yard, it's usually not a waste of time to grab i...

Re: I’ve almost given up, but then I saw this one..
Omg, I totally used to have a 91’ 740. It’s was blue. No headliner. Radio didn’t work. Loved that car. Crashed it. I swear I’m not a terrible driver, it’s other people! Ha. That one is a little out of my price range for a cash car. I had a finite amount to spend. I’m going to pick up the s70 this ev...

Re: I’ve almost given up, but then I saw this one..
Hahah. It was an 07’ with 190k miles on it so no wealth over here. The F/B ad seems to say the car on offer is a '98, so some confusion may have crept into the thread. One common place for oil leaks on the pre-'99 turbo cars is the oil cooler lines, again, not a big issue but annoying. I have remov...

Re: New bougicord wires not correct? And oil filler cap recommendation
There have been at least one or two others that have had this issue in the last 6 months. The 10V and 20V are different. As for oil filler cap. The seal needs to be replaced every 2-3 years if you want it to stay leak free. The seal shrinks and goes hard, then it leaks. Cheap aftermarket seal rings....

I am doing some spring cleaning in the shop and outbuilding and have more 850 parts than I need. If anyone needs anything for an 850, I mean anything, from body, engine, transmission, interior, etc. put it here or send me a message I have pulled a lot of parts from cars going to scrap over the years...

As for oil filler cap. The seal needs to be replaced every 2-3 years if you want it to stay leak free. The seal shrinks and goes hard, then it leaks. Cheap aftermarket seal rings. No need to replace the whole cap, but as you have done should be good for a while! Problem might have been cheap seal r...
