Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
The 1932 Ford was a major design change for Ford. This was the first year for Ford's famous flat head V8. There were V8 engines from other manufacturers, but none in the low price market. The new V8 had all cylinders cast in a common block and valves mounted in the V of the block. Heads had no valve...

Re: BOOM! Goes the Lower Control arm (dynamite-d). Shredded
Ordered the Beck/Arnley LCA just now. They don't stock any inner CV boots for the AWD model (grrr...) Found online this site: https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/1J0498201G this product from GKN lists it is compatible with my AWD T5 V50 and several other cars (!): Audi A4 Quattro, A6 Quattro, A4, TT Quatt...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I took advantage of some sale on Walmart the other week and got both LHD and RHD OBX front strut bars. I think it was like 200ish shipped for both . The sale is still going on for those interested. My RHD brace arrived but the S70 is with my Son so won't be able to provide feedback for a couple of ...

Path to Restoration Glory for a 1999 V70 N/A
Greetings all, I have been a lurker on this site for the past three years. I purchased a 1999 V70 Base model. I have to say, I love it. I have driven hundreds of vehicles in my life, and so far this is the most comfortable vehicle. However, this car is now old enough to drink here in the USA, so it ...

Re: Please help! Broken fuel filter connectors
Well I'm sure I won't the only person who gets shafted by this kind of thing. So I opted to do it 'right' and no hacking of lines etc. These are the part numbers: 31261002 - In pipe (in the middle of the filter) 31261003 - Out pipe (on the right of the fuel filter) 31342919 - Fuel filter housing Whi...

Re: BOOM! Goes the Lower Control arm (dynamite-d). Shredded
It worked! Happy Dance!! Just drove rebuilt car about 80 miles roundtrip and climbed Mt. Monadnock with bestie - felt like a celebration. The extreme pulling to the left by the car is gone! Most of the extreme vibration thru cabin and wheel is gone - some still there but nothing like before. The bus...

Re: 2007 XC90
The most likely cause for P0171 and P0174 is the PCV and I believe that you have a Volvo part. Edit: you had Volvo replace this about a year ago so it is unlikely that it has failed so soon. I would check to make sure that the bolts are tight because I found loose bolts on my S80 PCV and I assume th...
