Re: Check your Banjo PCV bolt
I have done a few of these PCV Banjo bolts. The pic shown above by @DonnVa is interesting. The factory banjo bolts from 2004 V70 and 2007 S60 looks exactly as bolt on the RIGHT side of that photo. I tried to "gently" pry the pin out of the factory bolt but could not. If you look carefully,...

Re: Buying (maybe) Volvo 850 1996
The roof rail covers are clipped in. The clips are plastic and can break so expect this may happen. The clips are held into the roof with screws and under the clip Volvo used a butyl strip to seal the hole and it heals around the screw when you screw the clip down. The covers were a vinyl type mater...

Re: Path to Restoration Glory for a 1999 V70 N/A
Quick update. I installed the new, much, much quieter exhaust system. I am very happy with it in the few short (sub 300 mile) trips that I have put on it. I do not, as of yet (knock on wood), have any issues with the CEL. I hope to remain at a number of 0. I put together a spreadsheet of all the pa...

Re: 2010 XC90 Rear wheel jumping/banging when turning in lock
Any codes? I believe the all-wheel-drive system engages when wheel speeds are off front to back a wheel speed sensor issue normally will trigger an ABS code. Are the tire sizes the same front to back?
Pulling the fuse would seem to indicate that the mechanical side is OK.

Re: Looking at a 1998 V70 XC, advice wanted.
My $0.02: Any vehicle this old you need to look at the years and ignore the miles. The seller may want to jack the price because of the low miles, but I think it's a suckers bet. A car from the north east is likely to have corrosion and you are right about rubber parts needing replacement. Rubber pa...

Seat skin replacement 2003 XC70
I recently changed this seat back skin on the drivers side with a mint passenger’s side skin from the auto wreckers. I realize now that I should have done a tutorial on it because I’ve done both seats before, backs and bases. The side bolsters usually wear out on these seats and the bases split the ...
