Re: I was so ill I couldn't even post

When sick:
Get medical attention. I used to say about $100 (for office visit and medicines) and a few days would generally cure what ever I got. Medicare has actually made this cheaper.
Drink lots of water.
Sleep lots.

I hope you are feeling better now.

Re: I was so ill I couldn't even post

There are a lot of cases like yours - something's going around.
It lasts more than a week if you have what my friends have.

This too shall pass!

Re: I was so ill I couldn't even post

Got it myself, stopped at urgent care yesterday and lungs sound ok so need to stick with over the counter meds and rest.

Except for that sick tree in my back yard that died this year so I decided cut it down (free city branch pickup is this week)—that was a bad idea and paying for it today…

Re: Vida - What am I missing?

Because from my own experience, the OBD codes are separate from VIDA codes. For instance, on naturally aspirated Denso ECM equipped engines, when you get a P0420 code it's usually related to ECM-4201. But...I also at one point got a P1177 code, which..had no equivalent VIDA code. P1177 = O2 Correcti...

Re: Greetings from germany and a question about high idling my V70R

cats can develop holes where the hanger bracket is welded to the case body. i pulled mine and welded up all the holes, confirmed on the bench with compressed air and soapy water. the flex pipe was also rusted out and i welded in a new one. you can detect the holes with the system on the car by block...

Re: MVS Forums: what would you like to see?

Good annual reminder to encourage people to use part numbers in questions and DIYs.

Part numbers are powerful searchable , and lead to sources of pertinent info directly. It takes 30 seconds to find them in the online parts fiche, but the payback is forever

Re: Missing PEM!

Maybe check and see if you have a fuel pressure sensor (FPS) on the end of your fuel rail. If you do not, you probably don't have DECOS (demand controlled fuel supply) and instead have a non-variable fuel pump which means no PEM to promote variable control to the pump as would have been managed by t...

Re: Oil Leak - Brake vacuum pump?

Are you able to upload pictures of the oil leakage areas? I recently had to work on an 02 XC70 with many oil leaks. Most were down to lack of maintenance and finally finding one source. It turned out to be the oil breather (PCV) hose up to the cylinder head is cracked and leaking oil onto the top of...

Re: Car almost stopped on the road, '97 855

OK I am pretty sure I found the error. When I removed the distributor cap I found the rotor was loose, only attached by one screw! https://i.imgur.com/vB4WIAnh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/QLmw5rgh.jpg Inside of the distributor cap looks like this. https://i.imgur.com/5jpaiY7h.jpg So I am pretty sure thi...
