Re: Best Grade of Gasoline
Ethanol production also yields food so maybe padding the pockets of corn producers isn't so bad? Not 100% sure on that one. More research needed. Gasoline containing ethanol WILL burn cleaner. It WILL be less efficient on most engines. It WILL eat at rubber seals and hoses over time without additiv...

Re: Should I consider buying 2004 C70 with manual 5 speed
I like to ask why they're getting rid of it. If I see a shiny new car in the driveway it is obvious usually, other times it may be because a car has had one problem too many. If they disclose the problems, I'm more likely to buy it as then I know what I'm getting into. When I am told there are no pr...

Re: Fit A Board In V70 ?
8ft is not a problem with all the seats down. 10 ft is a bit more difficult. I busted a windshield trying to put a 10ft piece of pipe in my wagon, wasn't paying attention and slammed the lift gate instantly spider cracking my windshield. After that embarrassment I just used the sunroof.

Re: Used Engine Consignment Source MARCH 2018
Hi All Just doing some checking on the used engine site. There are a number of used engine sites on the net, notice many of them don't actually show a physical address. When I did a bunch of digging I found many of them are affiliated, sales are internet, engines come from salvage yards all over. In...

Re: Anyone use liquid Plasti-Dip (not spray)?
Sounds like you want liquid rubber. Or what stuff that is on TV that can seal your boat that you sawed in half... What's it called? I can't remember. But that stuff is thick. Flexseal. That's it.

Re: Air bags didn’t deploy
I’m not out to sue anyone. The car saved my life. When it happened nobody believed I just walked away. It took a few days before the hurt started hurting. I was able to drive the car out of the middle of the road, that’s how well made the car is. My post wasn’t about bashing Volvo but only to let th...

Re: Keep it or junk it?
I can verify that using a bluetooth OBD-II reader + Android phone + "850 OBD-II" app works rather well at pulling cluster mileage.

Re: DIY: 1998 S70 GLT Ignition Tumbler FREE Fix!
FYI for anyone not wanting to shell out the $$$ for a diamond cutting wheel that you may never need again: I did this fix today with just a standard Dremel cutoff disc, one of the thicker ones. In the case of my V70 the key wouldn't return back to position zero, so it was stuck in the tumbler. I cou...
