Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
Old magazines.... Two different 12 cylinder Ferrari variations at Monaco. Imagine showing up at a race with two completely different blocks. Look at those ridiculous "roll bars." IMG_6788.JPG But Stirling Moss still won... IMG_6789.JPG The great Targa Florio in Sicily. 45 mile laps through...

Re: Hipcheck and his Volvo 850 Wagon
I have a slow week because of the Holidays. I will get to bring the car inside and out of the elements (into a heating workspace). I will replace the timing chain and water pump before getting to the radiator/intercooler/condenser combo and then the body panels and headlights. The goal is to be back...

Re: Financial Distress Parts Program
I am donating my beloved 2000 V70 manual to the FDPP. Thanks to Matthew for making this possible and to abscate for coming to pick up the car. After owning the car for 17 years, and right in the middle of a major rehab, it was rear-ended and totaled. I planned to keep this car forever so did my best...

Re: Financial Distress Parts Program
I have a brand new water pump and gasket for P80 series.
I replaced my water pump with a Aisen pump I had laying around. I now have the water pump that came in my Contitech timing belt kit sitting on the shelf and I will not need it anytime soon.

Re: 98 XC: making a trailer
UPDATE #2 First I got the subframe sat on the ground and everything is disconnected from the car frame to drop it. Then I lifted the car up. For suspense, I'll tell y'all that I underestimated the weight of the car frame. I made a video about that and the sub/car frame disconnections but need to upl...

P80 P2 Subframe Bushing installation with pictures 3507923
Just completed installing 4 subframe bushings and new spring seats with genuine Volvo parts. Its a pretty straightforward job for those contemplating it. I didn't document the spring seat install as it is a simple process. Subframe bushings should take 3 or 4 hours with hand tools, nothing special r...
