Re: Let's see your Volvo (The Photo Thread)
I just joined, picked me up a 98 V70 GLT AWD back in July. Its 428 - Coral Red Metallic in color, with 3980 Taupe Leather interior, it had 232,700KM when I bought it, now has just over 237,000KM. I bought it with a bunch of oil leaks, I thought it was just one large leak, but turned out it had 2 lar...

1979 Volvo 244DL - Show Car
I love my Volvo & bought it in 1981. I am the second owner and have maintained it extremely well. My car works in many television shows and I'm very proud of my 1979 Volvo. I've always been a believer if something works well, keep it! Why feel the need to replace it. Nothing's made in life nowad...

B8444S (V8) serp belt tools
Some of you may know me from this site or Swedespeed, I post the same user name. I recently acquired a second V8 XC90 that had 135k miles and I did a refresh of sorts to include the auxiliary belt with tensioner and idlers. There’s also a part in a thread about my snapping off the tensioner bracket ...

Re: no rear wheel drive!
I brought up the mechanical check as I purchased a 2008 V8 Sport in 2015 and by 2016 I had already stripped out the angle gear. Check AOC pump and DEM for sure but if you can turn the driveline with your hands, you need to go no further. Were it not a V8, I would not have suggested trying this test ...

Re: 2007 XC90 4.4L using lots more gas now
If you look at the specs for the XC90 V8 model for 2008 Volvo claimed 13mpg city/19mpg hwy. So they don't get great gas mileage to begin with considering the weight of the vehicle and the 4.4l. They are bricks in the wind. My 2005 XC90 T6 get 15/20 unless I get on the interstate and push it to 75. ...
