Re: Check your Banjo PCV bolt
I wanted to follow up here as well regarding the banjo bolt. Mine was the old style when I did my PCV job last summer. I cleaned it out with carb cleaner and didn’t think twice until I saw what it could potentially do if the pin and ball came out. I was already getting prepared to replace my alterna...

Re: Check your Banjo PCV bolt
Did check the banjo bolt on our V70 today, pcv was serviced by the dealer with previous owner.
Used a mirror, a bright light and my phone to make a picture of the mirror, so that I could zoom in.
Luckily it is the later style marked with 2014.

Re: New steering rack won't turn right
Napa exchanged the rack and the new one works perfectly so I guess it was just a flawed part. It's nice not to have any slop in the steering now.

Re: 2001 V70 2.4T Power steering pressure hose leak
Many a time while wrenching I learned too late I should have stopped work before I broke something.
Hang in there. This is doable.
The satisfaction of a job is directly proportional to the difficulty.

Hopefully I can provide some guidance for this job for those who are contemplating a DIY, it's a very easy job that shouldn't take more than 2 hours for both sides. Re: Brake Lights Inoperative - Resolved
I ran over to Voluparts and picked up a new relay and still no LH or RH brake lights. So I swung the REM down and out so that I could follow the circuit in and out of the relay and then in and out of the shunt which is downstream from the relay. I had power all the way through and out of the shunt b...

Re: 2006 V70 Motor Swap method
Burnt exhaust valve most likely. I'd say, it's about same labor, down or up. Much easier if you do it on a car lift, in that case you can lower the whole subframe. Up: https://a.d-cd.net/8755455s-960.jpg Clearance was real tight, I needed a load leveler badly, since you have to dance transmission ar...

Re: A/C issues 2007 V70 2.4L five speed.
I wanted to follow up. I finally got the time to get to the thermistor in the Volvo. Taking the dash apart to get to the CCM is a little different on the later series two cars, mine is an 07. But there was a video on that and it’s actually even easier. And since mine is a five speed manual there was...

Re: Completely round spark plug. Why? How can I get it out?
I don't think you have as bad of a problem as a rounded off spark plug. I used Photoshop to lighten your photo and it looks like the rubber spark plug boot broke off and is still in the spark plug hole. If you dig this out you should be able to get your socket on the plug. Thanks - this was it! The...
